Convenient + Affordable Clear Aligners

Invisalign® is a series of clear aligner trays worn one week at a time that gradually shift your teeth into the ideal position. The technology-advanced aligners are custom made for your teeth, gentle, stain resistant and effective.

How do Invisalign® aligners work?

The Invisalign® clear aligners work by gradually shifting teeth into the desired position, one step at a time. The process begins with a digital scan or an impression of the patient's teeth. This information is used to create a set of custom-made aligners that fit snugly over the teeth. Each aligner is worn for two weeks before being replaced with the next in the series. As each aligner moves and shifts the teeth into their desired position, new aligners are created to further move them until they reach their final destination.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics is a specialty field of dentistry concerned with diagnosing and treating tooth misalignment and irregularity in the jaw area. Initially, orthodontic treatments were geared toward the treatment of teens and pre-teens, but these days around 30 percent of orthodontic patients at Steamboat Advanced Dentistry & Implant Center  are adults. Braces are the traditional method for adjusting misaligned teeth, though in recent years additional options, like clear aligners, have become a popular clear alternative to metal braces.

Invisalign®

There are many advantages to well-aligned teeth, including easier cleaning, better oral hygiene, clearer speech and a more pleasant smile. But the process of wearing a retainer or braces for months and years can be cumbersome. To address the unpleasant external appearance and sometimes painful process of metal braces, a newer method of orthodontic treatment called Invisalign® has become increasingly popular among teenagers, college students, and working adults. Though orthodontic treatment can be effective at any age, the American Dental Association suggests that an orthodontic assessment should be performed around the age of seven. And though the earlier orthodontic treatment begins, the more quickly the problem can be successfully resolved, regardless of when you start Invisalign treatment, you'll benefit from an alignment of your teeth that is almost imperceivable to the public eye. This means your teeth will take shape without anyone noticing you're undergoing orthodontic treatment. The good news is that about 80% of all orthodontic treatment can be handled by Invisalign, including overbites, under bites, crossbites, crowding, spacing and gaps in your teeth.
