Dr. Richard Witty, DMD,

Steamboat Springs Dentist

Richard Witty grew up in Laurel, MS. He attended the University of Florida and University of Southern Mississippi for his undergraduate education. He then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center for a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and then his dental degree from the School of Dentistry.  Dr. Witty completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he received advanced training in: general dentistry, the placement and restoration of implants, bone grafting, and advanced periodontal treatment.


He is an active member of:

  • The Western Society of Periodontology
  • Colorado Dental Association
  • Metro Denver Dental Society
  • American Dental Association

 

Dr. Witty and his wife Jaime moved to Steamboat Springs in 2015. They are very proud to call Steamboat their home and stay active in the community. Dr. Witty and his wife had their first child Charlotte in 2018.   You can find Dr. Witty on the slopes skiing, playing golf, mountain biking, paddle boarding, and fly fishing.

Jaime Witty

Jaime Witty, Office Manager

Jaime Witty grew up in Gulfport, MS. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and obtained her degree in Biological Sciences. She later attended Mississippi College for her Master of Science in Medicine Degree. She and Richard moved to Las Vegas, NV in 2014 and then to Steamboat Springs in 2015. She practiced medicine as a Physician Assistant in Mississippi, Nevada, and Colorado prior to joining Richard and his team at Steamboat Advanced Dentistry & Implant Center.


Jaime, Richard, and their daughter Charlotte have two cocker spaniels, Monty and Millie, that love Steamboat just as much as they do. On the weekends, you can find Jaime and Richard mountain biking, camping, hiking with their dogs, or skiing, depending on the season.

Sorrel

Sorrel

Sorrel grew up in Watertown, Wisconsin and then in the foothills outside of Golden, Colorado. She then went on to study Biology at what was then known as Metro State College in Denver, Colorado. She moved to South Routt County in June of 2001 with her husband, Chris, and their three children: Emilee, Tanner, and Peyton.


Since living in Routt County, Sorrel has worked as an Operations Supervisor at a bank, front desk at a dental office, a home daycare provider and then settled into the position of Dental Assistant in 2008. Sorrel also is a fulltime caregiver, along with her husband, for their adult son Tanner.


When not at the dental office, Sorrel enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, snow shoeing, baking, visiting her youngest son in South Carolina and spending time with her grandson, Oakley.
